2021 AJT Desert Blume Junior Open

The McLennan Ross Alberta Junior Tour, unofficial southern swing continued at Desert Blume Golf Club in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, August 10th. The conditions were fantastic, the golf course was in fantastic shape as always and the players enjoyed one of the very best courses in southern Alberta!
The age divisions were filled with tight races and offered some exciting finishes. In the Boys U13 division, Jalen Apedoe took home the division title with a very strong 83!
In the Boys U15, hometown boy Owen Bruins took home the title with a smooth 80 and Zach Moulaison took home the U17/U19 title with a very solid 82 on what was a challenging day with strong winds!
The Junior Girls U13 division showed both great play and an incredible bounce back, Justine Leon fired a 91 to take home the division title while her playing partner Sela Ogada improved on her front nine score by 15 shots on the back nine! This shows incredible perseverance and overcoming a challenging opening nine holes – great play girls!
Rounding out the girls divisions, Felicia Ramsay takes home the U17/U19 age division.
The Desert Blume McLennan Ross Alberta Junior Tour overall champion, shooting a 74 with a 33 on the back nine is, Wyatt Bishop! Fantastic play on his home golf course earned Wyatt the top prize. Congratulations Wyatt.
