2020 YOUTH ON COURSE 

Youth on Course was started a decade ago by the Northern California Golf Association to provide youth ages 6-18 affordable life-changing opportunities through golf. Youth on Course members now have access to golf for $5 or less at over 1,400 participating courses in 37 States and 2 provinces.

In 2019 Alberta was the first province in Canada to pilot the program with Ontario joining for 2020. In 2019 over 1,000 youth accessed the program across the province. All junior members of Alberta Golf will automatically receive a Youth on Course membership number via email during the spring of 2020 for the second year of the program in Alberta.

 

Youth on Course is a two-year pilot program in the province of Alberta and is recognized under the umbrella of Canada’s National Junior Golf Program – Future Links.

In 2020 we have 24 courses offering junior golf rounds for $5 or less are:

  • Barrhead Golf Club
  • Bonnyville Golf and Country Club
  • Camrose Golf Course
  • Collicutt Siding Golf Club
  • Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course
  • Eagle Rock Golf Course
  • Goose Hummock Golf Resort
  • Heatherglen Golf Course
  • Henderson Lake Golf Club
  • Highwood Golf Club (Spitzee 9 holes)
  • Lakeside Golf Club
  • McCall Lake Golf Course (18 & par 3)
  • Mill Woods Golf Course
  • Nanton Golf Club
  • Northern Bear Golf Course
  • Olds Golf Club
  • RedTail Landing Golf Club
  • River Spirit Golf Club
  • Serenity Golf Club

Golfers, ages 6-18 will have access to the Youth on Course US network as well, getting access to 1,400 golf courses in 37 different States and 2 provinces.

Step 1: Join Golf Canada… see link below.. sign your son or daughter up under their own name, age and email. 

Step 2: Your Golf Canada/Alberta Golf membership number IS your Youth on Course number. Use this until you receive your welcome email from Youth on Course with instructions for the YOC APP and how to print your card.

FAQ: 

How long does my Youth on Course membership last ?

Once you sign up for a 2020 Golf Canada Membership you can use Youth on Course all season long as many times as you want. You will have to renew your Golf Canada Membership in 2021 for the following season to access Youth on Course again.

What are the time restrictions ?

Check with the course you want to play at, each course has certain times during the week they offer Youth on Course.

Does my son or daughter have to play with a paying adult ?

If they are under the age of 12 they will have to play with a paying adult. If they are 12 or older they can play alone or with a friend but must be course ready and know basic golf etiquette.

At what age does Youth on Course expire ?

Youth on Course expires on your 19th birthday
